Matthieu Drotar
I started this career in Washington, DC at a small, independent record label where I had my first taste of event planning. While others focused on the music, I successfully planned, booked, coordinated, and advertised events such as concerts, themed dance nights, and album release parties.
Upon returning to the Greater Philadelphia area, I bartended and managed a bottle shop in the Roxborough section of the city. Here, I not only packed the bar with live music, anniversary celebrations, and soccer watch parties, but more importantly I realized my passion for connecting people and facilitating memorable and entertaining evenings.
I continued with this passion in the next evolution of my career by organizing events such as tastings, festivals, and pairing dinners as a sales rep for Shangy’s, a beer wholesaler. After taking a hiatus from event-planning, I am excited present DINK Events!

DINK Events is a fresh, exciting approach to dating and friendship for those choosing to live a life without having children. DINK Events was created out of my own frustration with today’s dating scene, and a desire to connect like-minded people in a real-world setting.
At DINK Events, there are no apps to swipe through and no awkward conversations months into a relationship. Instead, participants will attend their choice of fun and varied live events throughout the Greater Philadelphia Area and beyond where they will have the opportunity to meet and connect with other child-free singles and couples.
